ICHR Announces Recruitment for 80 Junior Research Fellowships; Apply by April 10

New Delhi, March 24: A significant opportunity has emerged for young individuals interested in the research sector. The Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR) in New Delhi has released an official notification for the recruitment of 80 Junior Research Fellowships (JRF).

The online application process for these positions commenced on March 20, with the deadline set for April 10. Eligible and interested candidates are advised to visit the official website and submit their registration forms within the specified timeframe.

Candidates eligible to apply for the Junior Research Fellowship must be registered in PhD programs in History at recognized universities. For more detailed information regarding eligibility and recruitment, candidates should refer to the official notification available on the ICHR website.

Selection of qualified candidates will be based on an online entrance test, personal interview, final merit list, and document verification. Selected candidates will receive a stipend ranging from ₹16,500 to ₹17,600 per month.

While filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is ₹500 for General/EWS/OBC categories. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Divyang candidates are exempt from the application fee.

To apply online, candidates should first visit the official website of the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR), New Delhi. After reaching the homepage, click on the active application link for the announced positions. Next, register and log in. Fill in all required information in the form and upload the necessary documents in the correct size. Finally, pay the application fee and submit the form. It is advisable to print out the registration form for future reference.

Additionally, after submitting the application form, candidates must send a hard copy along with all relevant documents to the following address: Member Secretary, Indian Council of Historical Research, 35, Ferozeshah Road, New Delhi – 110001, by April 17.
