Hardoi, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : In Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, a man has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife early Wednesday morning. The incident occurred around 5 a.m. when Parvez, a resident of Mohalla Tiliya, reportedly attacked his wife, Nagma, with a sharp weapon, resulting in her death.
Upon receiving the report, local police and a forensic team quickly arrived at the scene to gather evidence. According to Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Subodh Gautam, the couple lived in a rented house in the city.
Gautam stated that the police were alerted to the situation when they learned of the attack. The forensic team conducted an examination of the scene and collected evidence. The police have since taken the woman’s body into custody for a post-mortem examination.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Parvez suspected Nagma of having an illicit relationship with another individual, which may have led to the tragic incident. The local police have registered a case and are continuing their inquiries. A formal complaint from the family has also been received, prompting further legal action.
In a separate incident in Ballia district, a 35-year-old man was killed by a group of individuals wielding sticks. This attack occurred on Monday night when the group intercepted Umesh Chaurasia while he was riding his motorcycle and assaulted him. Despite being rushed to a community health center, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
