Humayun Kabir Denies TMCs Allegations of ₹1,000 Crore Deal, Challenges Party to Provide Evidence

Kolkata, April 10: Humayun Kabir, the president of the Aam Janata Udayan Party (AJUP), has firmly denied the allegations made by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) regarding a purported ₹1,000 crore deal. He has challenged the TMC to present evidence supporting their claims.

Following a controversial sting video, Kabir addressed the media on Friday to clarify the accusations against him. He stated, “The TMC should provide proof. If they have the courage, they should show the evidence of my video that was displayed during the press conference. I challenge Bobby Hakim (Firhad Hakim) to bring forward the person seen in the video, the one with whom I am allegedly discussing money.”

Kabir further emphasized that he has no connections with any other political party. He added, “As long as I am here, I will carry my community with me.”

Regarding the breakup of the alliance with Owaisi, Kabir mentioned that questions should be directed to the leaders of AIMIM. He noted that Owaisi had announced the alliance with them on March 25, and it is now pertinent to ask AIMIM leaders why the alliance was dissolved.

Earlier, the TMC accused Humayun Kabir of striking a ₹1,000 crore deal with the BJP. The party claimed, “In the video, Humayun Kabir openly admits that the BJP gave him ₹1,000 crores to mislead the minority community. He also alleges that senior BJP leaders like Himanta Biswa Sarma and Mohan Yadav were involved in this ‘conspiracy’.”

During a joint press conference on Thursday, West Bengal ministers Firhad Hakim, Arup Biswas, and TMC state secretary Kunal Ghosh released an audio clip, which allegedly features Kabir discussing similar matters with an unidentified individual. However, the authenticity of this audio clip has not been verified.
