Noida, August 29: The police in Noida’s Phase-3 area have successfully dismantled a motorcycle theft gang, leading to the arrest of three suspects. Authorities recovered three stolen motorcycles from the accused. According to police reports, the arrested individuals conducted surveillance in various locations across Delhi-NCR and Noida before stealing motorcycles. They would then transport the stolen bikes to other districts, selling them at significantly reduced prices under the guise of financial hardship.
This operation took place during the night of August 28-29, based on local intelligence and confidential information. Police received a tip-off that some suspects involved in motorcycle theft were present in the area. Acting on this information, the police team set up a blockade on the service road behind Jagruti Apartments in Sector 71, where they apprehended three suspicious individuals. During the search and questioning, the police recovered three stolen motorcycles from their possession.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Nikhil Yadav (25) from Bahalolpur village, Deepanshu Kumar (20) from Haroda Road, and Vicky (24) from Belwa Ghat village, currently residing in Gadhi Chaukhandi, Noida. During police interrogation, it was revealed that the suspects would scout different areas in Delhi, Noida, and NCR for motorcycles. After stealing the vehicles, they would hide them in a designated location.
Once several motorcycles were collected, the gang would transport them to other districts, selling the stolen bikes at prices much lower than the market value by claiming financial distress. The police are now investigating how many vehicles the suspects have stolen and to whom these stolen motorcycles were sold.
According to police, multiple cases related to vehicle theft have been registered against the arrested individuals at the Phase-3 police station. Authorities are taking necessary legal actions concerning the recovered motorcycles and are also gathering information about other gang members and the network involved in selling stolen vehicles. The police are further probing the extent of the suspects’ involvement in other theft incidents.
