Bengaluru, August 29: Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan arrived in Bengaluru today as part of his three-day tour across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, and Lakshadweep, running from August 29 to August 31. Upon his arrival at HAL Airport, he received a warm welcome.
In a post on the social media platform X, the Vice President expressed gratitude for the reception he received at HAL Airport. He was greeted by Karnataka’s Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, Rizwan Arshad, along with MP Lahar Singh Siroya and other dignitaries. Later today, Radhakrishnan will attend the centenary celebration of former Karnataka Chief Minister Ramakrishna Hegde at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru.
During his three-day visit, the Vice President will participate in various events focused on education, public service, cultural heritage, industry-academic collaboration, and awareness programs related to fisheries. On August 29, he will also attend the foundation day ceremony of the Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology Trust (KVITT) in Erode, Tamil Nadu.
Later in the day, he will head to Bengaluru for the centenary event at Vidhana Soudha. On August 30, Radhakrishnan will visit Kerala, starting in Alappuzha, where he will participate in the 115th anniversary celebration of Kerala Kaumudi at Leo Higher Secondary School.
Following this, he will travel to Pathanamthitta to inaugurate the Aranmula Water Festival 2026. His visit will conclude in Thiruvananthapuram, where he will inaugurate a festival related to Kerala’s major cultural celebration, Onam.
On August 31, Radhakrishnan will visit Agatti in Lakshadweep, where he will be the chief guest at an event organized by the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying. After returning to Kerala, he will attend the silver jubilee celebration of Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RSET) and participate in the Confluence 3.0 industry-academic summit at RSET Auditorium in Kakkanad, Kochi.
