Honoring Dr. Vikram Sarabhai: A Tribute from BJP Leaders on His Birth Anniversary

New Delhi, August 12: On the birth anniversary of the eminent physicist and industrialist Dr. Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai, several BJP leaders, including Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, paid tribute to his remarkable contributions to science and research.

Om Birla expressed his sentiments on X, stating, “On the birth anniversary of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the architect of the Indian space age and a Padma Vibhushan awardee, I pay heartfelt homage. Dr. Sarabhai believed that science should not be confined to laboratories; its purpose should be to improve the lives of the most marginalized in society. This vision laid a strong foundation for modern scientific research in India and made space science an effective means for nation-building. Under his leadership, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has guided India towards becoming a self-reliant, capable, and reliable space power.”
