Shimla, October 18 (Daily Kiran): The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission has announced the final results of the Police Constable recruitment examination. After completing the screening test and document verification process, 1,045 candidates have been found eligible against 1,088 advertised posts. Among the selected candidates are 676 men and 369 women.

Commission Secretary Nivedita Negi informed that the names of the selected candidates have been forwarded to the state government for appointment. Their final posting will be done by the Police Department after verification of original documents. The commission described the entire recruitment process as transparent and fair.
Out of the 708 posts advertised for male candidates, 32 remained vacant due to the unavailability of qualified candidates in certain categories. Similarly, 11 posts out of 380 reserved for female candidates could not be filled. In total, 43 posts remain vacant.
The written examination for the recruitment was held on June 15, and results were announced on August 2. A total of 1,343 male and 621 female candidates were called for document verification between September 24 and 29. After thorough scrutiny of all documents, the commission released the final selection list late Friday evening.
The commission clarified that candidates whose documents or qualification certificates did not meet the prescribed standards were excluded from the selection list. The final list has been uploaded on the commission’s official website, where candidates can check their results.
