Jodhpur, December 6 (Daily Kiran) – Hanuman Beniwal, Nagaur MP and National Loktantrik Party chief, strongly criticised the state government and especially the Jodhpur police over law and order issues. Speaking to the media at Jodhpur airport on Saturday, Beniwal said the government’s two years have passed in vain. He added that the Chief Minister is not being taken seriously and questioned who is actually running the government.

Beniwal alleged that fear of law has vanished in Rajasthan, with drug abuse surpassing Punjab. He pointed to the continuous rise in crime and gang wars. According to him, senior police officers in Jodhpur are more corrupt than each other, and all the problems are dumped here. He said everyone is aware of the deteriorating situation, and even local leaders have been unable to address it.

The MP accused that officers close to Ashok Gehlot, who used to tap phones during the Congress regime, now hold good posts under the BJP government. Their proximity to the BJP has increased, and such police officers are receiving favourable postings, especially those involved in land-related matters.

Beniwal stated that BJP and Congress have now become one, with no difference between them. He claimed that the BJP is no longer the same and mentioned knowing half a dozen people in the Chief Minister’s team who reportedly say this is the first and last chance to loot as much as possible. He also criticised the BJP for U-turns on issues like the RPSC paper leak and SI recruitment exams. When the High Court cancelled the SI recruitment, the government initially said it would not appeal but later filed an appeal, showing inconsistency between words and actions.

Regarding Indigo Airlines’ disrupted services, Beniwal said the airline is challenging the government, which has been unable to take action. He pointed out the serious impact on the public due to rules scheduled for implementation in July and August, which have caused confusion over flight schedules in recent days. He himself was unsure if his flight would operate.
