Gulfaam Khan Offers Advice on Marriage and Motherhood Pressure

Mumbai, August 9: The pressure to marry and have children is a reality many young women face today. Whether from family, friends, or neighbors, questions like “When will you get married?” or “When are you having a baby?” are all too common. Television actress Gulfaam Khan has also experienced this pressure and has shared her insights on how young women can cope with it.

In an exclusive interview, Gulfaam advised that when confronted with such questions, individuals should consider their lives ten years into the future. They should make decisions that will bring them happiness in the long run.

When asked what advice she would give to young women facing pressure regarding marriage or motherhood, Gulfaam stated, “Think about who you will be in ten years. If the decision you make today brings you joy and satisfaction a decade later, then make that choice with confidence.”

She emphasized that as long as one is not causing harm to others, living life without regrets is completely acceptable. “This is your life. As long as you are not hurting anyone or taking advantage of someone, live it without regrets,” she added.

Gulfaam was also asked if she has faced similar pressures regarding marriage and motherhood. She revealed that her family has always been very supportive and has stood by her decisions.

“Personally, my family has always respected my choices. My husband, in-laws, and siblings have always supported me,” she explained.

However, she acknowledged that despite her close family’s support, she has still faced pressure from relatives, neighbors, and friends.

The actress, known for her role as Nazneen in the show ‘Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga’, concluded by saying, “Yes, there is pressure from relatives, neighbors, or friends. But when your own family stands by you, the opinions of outsiders matter less.”

In terms of her career, Gulfaam is recognized for her work in popular shows such as ‘Naamkaran’, ‘Lado 2’, and ‘India Calling’.
