Gujarat-Madhya Pradesh Relations Strengthened with New Investments, Says CM Mohan Yadav

Ahmedabad, August 13: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that the relationship between Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh is set to deepen with the establishment of a new unit by the Arvind Group in Madhya Pradesh. In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, the aim is to commence production at the PM Mitra Park by next year. This initiative is expected to create new job opportunities for the youth of the state.

The Chief Minister revealed that the Arvind Group is setting up units in three locations: Barlai near Devas, the PM Mitra Park in Dhar, and Betma in Indore. The company is also working in other regions. The expansion of these industrial activities will increase employment opportunities for the youth in the state. Dr. Yadav made these remarks following discussions with Arvind Limited’s Vice Chairman, Kulin Lalbhai, in Ahmedabad.

He emphasized that cooperation between Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh will further strengthen the ties between the two states. Industrial investments will not only provide jobs for the youth but also generate additional resources for state development through tax revenues from industries. This will accelerate the state’s growth. He congratulated and wished the Arvind Group success in this initiative.

Discussions also covered various topics, including the proposed investments by the company in Madhya Pradesh, the establishment of industries in PM Mitra Park, job creation, investments in the textile sector, and the reuse of water in industrial areas. The meeting included key officials such as Neeraj Mandloi, Additional Chief Secretary of Industry, John Kingsley, Secretary of Industry, and Chandra Mouli Shukla, MD of MPIDC.

Arvind Limited plans to invest approximately ₹1,200 crores in PM Mitra Park, for which the company has been allocated 105 acres of land. Under a contract with Pepcon Private Limited in Indore, the company produces around 7 million garments annually. Dr. Yadav discussed expediting the industrial establishment and investment processes at PM Mitra Park. The application process under CCIP will be completed soon, and necessary actions for quick proposal testing and approval at the government level were also deliberated. Information on investment incentives available for the textile and apparel industries was shared, including capital grants, interest subsidies, reimbursement of stamp and registration fees, green industrialization, and support for research and development facilities.

The potential for zero liquid discharge solutions for water reuse in industrial areas was also discussed. The establishment of common ZLD systems in over 90 industrial parks being developed in Madhya Pradesh, particularly in textile, pharma, and other industrial clusters, was considered. Suggestions were made to connect industrial parks with nearby municipal STPs to develop a circular water economy model.

The possibilities of utilizing a mission-critical communication network during Kumbh Mela 2028 were also discussed. Arya Omnitalk Solutions, a joint venture between Arvind Limited and JM Baxi Group, provides mission-critical wireless communication, walkie-talkie networks, PMRT, and public safety communication solutions. The use of such networks for police, security forces, disaster management, health services, and event management during Kumbh Mela 2028 was evaluated.

The Chief Minister invited Kulin Lalbhai to invest in Madhya Pradesh and also encouraged his participation in the Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2027.

Arvind Limited is one of the leading textile groups in the country, established in 1931, with its headquarters in Ahmedabad.
