
Gandhinagar, June 2: The Gujarat government has taken a significant step to enhance its administrative efficiency. The state’s General Administration Department (GAD) has issued an order, effective immediately, assigning additional responsibilities to six senior officials. This decision comes in response to the recent retirements of IAS officers from key positions.
According to the issued order, Sanjay K. Modi, currently the Executive Director of the Gujarat State Tribal Development Residential Educational Institution Society (GSTDRIES), has been given the additional charge of Executive Director at the Gujarat Tribal Development Corporation in Gandhinagar. He will take over from the retired IAS officer C.B. Balat.
Similarly, Yogesh B. Nirgude (IAS), the Additional Development Commissioner, has been assigned the additional charge of District Development Officer (DDO) for Gandhinagar, a position that became vacant following the retirement of B.J. Patel.
Rajit Raj, Director of Scheduled Caste Welfare in Gandhinagar, has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Managing Director at the Gujarat Unreserved Educational and Economic Development Corporation (GUEDC), succeeding P.D. Palasana.
Additionally, Prashasti Parikh (IAS), Managing Director of the Gujarat Livelihood Promotion Company Limited, has been given the extra charge of Additional Rural Development Commissioner at the Rural Development Directorate in Gandhinagar. This position was left vacant after the retirement of B.M. Prajapati.
Moreover, S.D. Tabiyaar (GAS), Director of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) in Dang-Ahwa, will now also serve as the District Development Officer (DDO) for Dang district. H.P. Joshi (GAS), Director of DRDA in Devbhoomi Dwarka, has been assigned the additional responsibility of DDO for Devbhoomi Dwarka.
This administrative reshuffle by the state government is effective immediately. The government believes that these additional appointments will ensure continuity in administrative functions and prevent any disruptions in the implementation of development plans.
