Gandhinagar, September 19 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited the ‘Khadiya Ganraj’ installation in Gandhinagar on Saturday, inspired by the famous Lalbaugcha Raja of Mumbai. During his visit, he expressed profound joy after having the rare opportunity to touch the feet of Lord Ganesha. The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with chants of “Ganapati Bappa Moriya” as devotees welcomed him.
This grand event was organized by the Ashtavinayak Charitable Trust and local religious leaders, marking the first time such a magnificent Ganesh installation has been set up in the Khadiya area. Notably, this festival allows devotees in Gujarat to touch the feet of Lord Ganesha, a unique experience for many. The decor of the mandap was themed around Ahmedabad’s Polo heritage, adding a local touch to the celebrations.
Earlier that day, Patel also attended Ganeshotsav festivities in the Raniap area, where he humbly took part in the rituals and received blessings. He enjoyed the grand aarti and prayed for the prosperity of the state’s residents, praising the planning and decoration of the Ganesh pandal.
During his visits, Patel interacted warmly with attendees, including children, creating a sense of community. Present at the events were Gandhinagar’s Mayor Meera Ben Patel, MLA Alpesh Thakor, and several other leaders and activists, alongside a large number of devotees.
In a post on social media platform X, Patel shared his experiences of participating in various Ganeshotsav celebrations across Ahmedabad. He noted the enthusiasm and devotion displayed by the people, expressing hope that the auspicious occasion would bring joy and remove obstacles for all.
