Panchmahal, September 19 (Daily Kiran) : Gujarat’s Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi took part in a cleanliness and maintenance campaign in Ghoghamba, Panchmahal district, on September 19. This event coincided with the Service Sankalp bike rally, where Sanghvi joined participants in cleaning efforts at the local bus station.
The initiative aimed to spread awareness about cleanliness and community service among citizens. During the campaign, Sanghvi engaged with sanitation workers, praising their contributions to maintaining a clean and healthy environment for villages and the nation. He expressed gratitude on behalf of the public for their dedicated service.
Following this, Sanghvi and the service participants conducted another cleanliness drive at the Bhathiji Maharaj Temple near Ghoghamba, where they painted and cleaned the temple premises. He emphasized that maintaining cleanliness and preserving religious sites is a collective responsibility of citizens.
Sanghvi noted that the service journey encourages local youth to contribute to such activities, promoting cultural preservation and hygiene. These efforts are part of the broader Service Sankalp bike rally, which includes various service-oriented activities throughout Gujarat.
Earlier, Sanghvi also interacted with farmers at a natural agriculture university in Halol, discussing sustainable farming practices. He highlighted government support for farmers, including the annual ₹6,000 assistance under the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, 24-hour electricity supply, irrigation water for fields, and free treatment up to ₹10 lakh under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
He urged the farmers present to volunteer at least 25 minutes for cleanliness and other service activities in the coming month.
