New Delhi, April 10: The Minister for Social Welfare and Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes Welfare, Ravindra Indraj Singh, announced on Thursday at the Delhi Secretariat that a series of events will commence on April 10 and continue until April 14. These events are dedicated to the 136th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, also known as Baba Saheb.
He invited the public to join in the grand and enthusiastic celebrations of Baba Saheb’s birth anniversary this year. The ‘Bhim Jyoti Utsav’ will take place in front of India Gate, along Kasturba Gandhi Marg, where a special gallery will showcase rich literature related to Baba Saheb and significant chapters from his life.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore and understand various aspects of Baba Saheb’s life, thoughts, and struggles. The event will also feature numerous folk cultural programs, performances, and diverse activities aimed at spreading his ideals to the masses.
Ravindra Indraj Singh emphasized that this platform will reflect the spirit of unity across the nation. Various saints, social workers, intellectuals, and all those committed to promoting values of unity and harmony will participate. He noted that Baba Saheb’s core message was ‘Nation First,’ and he always prioritized the welfare of the nation in his endeavors.
