New Delhi, April 20: Delhi’s Minister for Social Welfare and MLA from Bawana, Ravindra Indraj Singh, inaugurated the new Firni Road in Dariyapur Kalan on Sunday. This project, costing approximately ₹5.73 crores, connects the Dada Maldev Pond in Bawana to Nangl Mor Road, significantly improving connectivity in the area.
According to officials, this vital project was completed with funding from the Delhi Village Development Board, thanks to the minister’s efforts and the support of the Irrigation and Flood Control Department.
The minister noted that this project had been pending for nearly 20 years and has now been successfully completed, marking a significant achievement for local residents. He emphasized that despite years of demand from the community, no concrete steps were taken until now. The completion of this road has revitalized development in Dariyapur and its surrounding areas.
The construction of Firni Road will provide thousands of residents with easier, safer, and faster connectivity. This will reduce travel time and enhance traffic management in the region. The project is a crucial step towards strengthening infrastructure in Delhi’s rural areas.
Local residents have expressed that villages like Dariyapur and Sultanpur Dabas had long been neglected in terms of development, but the ongoing projects are now visibly improving their quality of life.
Ravindra Indraj Singh reiterated that the development of villages and rural areas is a top priority. He emphasized the government’s commitment to providing all necessary amenities in rural regions and assured that such development initiatives will continue. He stated that robust infrastructure and better connectivity are the foundations for the growth of any area.
