Chitra Wagh Declares Womens Empowerment Movement Will Keep Opposition Awake

Mumbai, April 19: Senior BJP leader Chitra Wagh has launched a fierce attack on the opposition regarding women’s reservation. She stated that a powerful movement for women’s empowerment is about to begin, which will not allow the opposition to rest.

In a conversation in Mumbai, Wagh accused Congress, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena, and Sharad Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party of shattering the dreams of the country’s 50% female population.

Wagh emphasized that these parties have only talked about women’s empowerment for years, but when it was time to act, they withdrew. She noted that Prime Minister Modi is working towards fulfilling Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s vision of empowering women, but these parties have not supported this initiative. They should be ashamed of celebrating while neglecting this cause.

Wagh expressed her displeasure over Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s recent comments. She asserted that women are not objects to be used. This nation is home to great figures like Mother Jijau, Ramabai Ambedkar, and Ahilyabai Holkar, where women lead. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra should apologize for her remarks.

She further stated that the opposition does not want half of the population to receive their rights. They are against ordinary women, without any political background, reaching Parliament or state assemblies. This reservation is meant for all women across the country. While there are many capable female leaders in the opposition, they have not allowed common women to step forward.

Wagh warned that the movement for women’s empowerment will soon rise, keeping the opposition on edge. In the coming days, women in the country will respond decisively. The opposition should feel ashamed for celebrating while ignoring this critical issue.

She concluded by saying that Congress is not afraid of women’s reservation; rather, they fear empowered women.
