Golden Job Opportunity in UPSSSC: Apply for 722 Excise Constable Positions by June 24

Lucknow, June 14: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced a golden opportunity for job seekers. They are inviting applications for a total of 722 Excise Constable positions under the 2026 main examination, managed by the Excise Commissioner’s office in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Interested candidates can apply until June 24.

Among the 722 vacancies, there are 612 positions for Excise Constables and 110 for Special Selection Excise Constables. The 612 Excise Constable posts include 246 unreserved, 128 for Scheduled Castes, 12 for Scheduled Tribes, 165 for Other Backward Classes, and 61 for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS).

For the 110 Special Selection Excise Constable positions, there are 46 reserved for Scheduled Castes, 14 for Scheduled Tribes, and 50 for Other Backward Classes.

The online application process will commence on June 4 and will close on June 24. Eligible candidates wishing to secure a position as an Excise Constable should complete their registration on the official commission portal before the deadline. Additionally, candidates who make errors while filling out the application will have the opportunity to correct their forms until July 1.

Applicants must have completed their intermediate education from the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council or an equivalent recognized examination. Furthermore, candidates must have appeared for the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) and passed with a valid scorecard.

The minimum age for applicants is set at 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 40 years. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations. While filling out the application form, all candidates must pay a processing fee of ₹25 online.

Selection of eligible candidates will be based on the standardized scores obtained in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025), followed by the main written examination, physical standards, physical efficiency test, and merit list. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹19,900 to ₹63,200.
