Panaji, July 2: Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) has officially announced the opening of applications for 50 apprentice positions across various disciplines, with a duration of one to two years. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply before the deadline of July 15.
The vacancies include 15 Graduate Engineer Apprentices, 5 Technician Apprentices, and 30 Graduate (General Stream) Apprentices.
Among the 15 Graduate Engineer Apprentice positions, there are 6 for Mechanical Engineering, 4 for Electrical/Electronics Engineering, 2 for Electronics and Telecommunications/Computer Science, 2 for IT/Computer Engineering, and 1 for Civil Engineering.
The 5 Technician Apprentice positions consist of 3 in Mechanical Engineering and 2 in IT/Computer Engineering, along with 30 Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentice roles.
The application process is currently open and must be completed offline. Candidates wishing to apply should ensure their registration forms reach the specified address by the deadline.
Applicants for the Graduate Engineer Apprentice positions must hold a BE or BTech degree in the relevant field. Those applying for Technician Apprentices should possess an engineering diploma, while Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices need a degree in BCom, BA, or BSc.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on application shortlisting, a written exam, interviews, and practical tests. Selected candidates will receive stipends of ₹10,900 for Technician Apprentices, ₹12,300 for Graduate Engineer Apprentices, and ₹12,300 in the first year and ₹13,530 in the second year for Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices.
