New Delhi, August 15: On the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, numerous countries around the world have sent their congratulatory messages. Among them, Slovak President Peter Pellegrini extended his greetings to India.
President Pellegrini praised India’s remarkable journey and expressed hope for increased cooperation between the two nations in the coming years.
He wrote on the social media platform X, “As India achieves this remarkable milestone, I am inspired by its extraordinary journey and look forward to what we can accomplish together in the years ahead. I am eager to work with President Murmu and Prime Minister Modi to strengthen our comprehensive partnership and turn our shared aspirations for 2047 and beyond into reality.”
Romania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, “Happy Independence Day to the Republic of India! India is an important partner for Romania. Following the historic visit of India’s President to Bucharest in July 2026, our extensive partnership has entered a new chapter. We are committed to advancing our significant bilateral agenda and working together to enhance prosperity, security, and opportunities for our citizens.”
Somalia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also conveyed their congratulations, stating, “The Federal Republic of Somalia congratulates the Government and people of India on the 80th anniversary of independence. We reaffirm our commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation between our two countries.”
Moldova expressed heartfelt wishes to the people of India on Independence Day, emphasizing the importance of their growing partnership and the hope to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Armenia extended warm wishes to its friends in India on this significant day, expressing readiness to enhance various forms of cooperation based on civilizational ties and mutual trust.
Georgia offered heartfelt congratulations to the Government of India and its friendly people, wishing for peace, prosperity, and continuous progress in the Republic of India. They expressed hope for a stronger partnership in the years to come.
Serbia also conveyed its best wishes, stating, “We wish the citizens, government, and our colleagues at the Indian embassy much happiness, progress, and prosperity on your Independence Day.”
