Patna, April 9: Union Minister Giriraj Singh targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday. He stated that Banerjee would lose the election in Bhawanipur. If she cannot secure her own seat, how can she be expected to save her government?
During a media interaction in Patna, Singh accused Banerjee of attempting to transform Bengal into Bangladesh, which is why she constantly raises issues related to the SIR. He asserted that she would not be able to protect her own seat, let alone her government.
Supporting Prime Minister Modi’s statement, Singh claimed that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has looted West Bengal over the past 15 years. Consequently, they are now avoiding discussions on pressing issues like poverty and unemployment. He emphasized that the Prime Minister’s remarks are entirely accurate, highlighting the importance of collective progress and accountability for those who have misappropriated resources.
Singh also issued a warning to TMC goons attempting to intimidate voters. He stated, “Do not harbor any misconceptions. This time, the BJP will form the government in Bengal. Anyone engaging in hooliganism will face consequences.”
Regarding the Women’s Reservation Bill, Singh noted that under PM Modi’s leadership, empowering women has been a top priority. Women’s participation and progress are central to every major initiative. He stressed the need for greater female representation in democratic institutions to strengthen the country’s democracy.
It is noteworthy that voting for the 294 assembly seats in West Bengal will take place in two phases on April 23 and 29, with results announced on May 4. Political parties are actively conducting election rallies and meetings in preparation for the upcoming elections.
