Amaravati, April 15: Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh expressed his gratitude on Wednesday after being appointed as the National Executive President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
Lokesh took to the social media platform ‘X’ to share his feelings, stating that he feels honored and is thankful to the party workers whose unwavering faith has shaped his journey. He also expressed appreciation for party leader N. Chandrababu Naidu, acknowledging his guidance and trust.
He remarked that rising from a party worker to this responsibility has been a learning process, built on the support, struggles, and sacrifices of the party’s members. Lokesh emphasized his commitment to dedicate his life to the principles of the party and to serve the people of Andhra Pradesh with integrity, dedication, and purpose.
“This is not just a position; it is a lifelong responsibility,” he stated. In addition to his new role as TDP’s National Executive President, Lokesh also oversees the Human Resource Development, Information Technology, and Electronics departments in the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet.
Meanwhile, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu congratulated all leaders included in the party’s new committees. He mentioned on ‘X’ that the formation of the political bureau and both national and state-level committees respects senior leaders while providing opportunities for newcomers, keeping social justice in mind.
Naidu expressed hope that these new committees would effectively communicate government plans to the public and accelerate the state’s development. He stated that working within the TDP is akin to working for the state’s progress.
Additionally, MP Bayareddy Shabari, who has been appointed as the TDP’s National General Secretary, also thanked Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh on ‘X’. She has become the first woman to hold this position in TDP.
Shabari pledged to strengthen the party and serve the public with complete dedication, commitment, and responsibility.
