Gautam Singhania Injured in Speedboat Accident in Maldives, Returns to Mumbai

Mumbai, March 21: Gautam Singhania, Chairman of the Raymond Group, has sustained minor injuries following a speedboat accident in the Maldives. According to a spokesperson, Singhania has returned to Mumbai for treatment.

The incident occurred while he was on a speedboat in the Maldives. His spokesperson confirmed that he suffered only minor injuries and is currently receiving care in Mumbai.

In a statement, the spokesperson said, “Due to this unfortunate accident, Gautam Singhania has sustained minor injuries. He is being looked after in Mumbai. We thank everyone for their good wishes.”

Seven Tourists on the Speedboat

Reports from local media in the Maldives indicate that there were seven tourists on board, including five Indians. The accident took place at approximately 1:15 PM. According to reports, two Indian tourists are still missing, while three others sustained injuries. The Maldives National Defense Force’s Coast Guard team is actively searching for the missing individuals.

Search for Driver Hari Singh Ongoing

Reports indicate that the driver, Hari Singh, has been missing since the accident. Search efforts are ongoing, but no official statement has been released regarding his disappearance. Some reports suggest that there has been no contact with him even 16 hours after the incident.

As of now, there has been no official statement from the Maldives government regarding the accident.
