Gaurav Vallabh Critiques Congresss Dynastic Politics Amidst Party Resignations

New Delhi, March 19: BJP spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh responded to Pradyut Bordoloi’s resignation from the Congress party. He noted that Bordoloi himself cited the challenging environment within the party as the reason for his departure. According to Vallabh, Bordoloi found it increasingly difficult to communicate with anyone in Congress, prompting his decision to leave.

In an interview on Wednesday, Vallabh criticized Rahul Gandhi for appointing K.C. Venugopal as an agent within the party. He claimed that apart from a few issues, Congress lacks a clear agenda. The current state of the party, he argued, reflects a lack of both policy and intent, leading many to part ways with Congress.

Vallabh emphasized that the primary reason for Congress’s decline is the indifference of its top leadership. He pointed out that the citizens of this country pay taxes honestly, yet leaders associated with Congress describe the economy as dead. He questioned whether such a situation could be accepted under any circumstances.

Additionally, Vallabh took aim at Rahul Gandhi, labeling his actions as childish. He lamented that Gandhi fails to address issues that concern the nation, instead focusing on matters that diminish the country’s respect. This, he believes, is why many leaders are leaving Congress, which he accused of practicing dynastic politics that cannot be tolerated.

He stated that the biggest issue facing Congress is its reliance on familial ties. States governed by Congress are grappling with this very problem. For instance, the Hooda family in Haryana, the Gogoi family in Assam, the Gehlot family in Rajasthan, and the Chavan family in Maharashtra are all examples of this dynastic trend. Vallabh asserted that the public has completely rejected this form of politics and now desires a performance-based approach.

He warned those who think they can leverage their surnames for political gain or high positions to reconsider. The era of surname-based politics is over, he insisted. Only those who contribute meaningfully will find a place in politics moving forward.

Furthermore, Vallabh reacted to Kangana Ranaut’s comments regarding Rahul Gandhi, noting that several bureaucrats have previously raised similar concerns. He stated that the leader of the opposition is expected to behave seriously, yet Gandhi’s conduct is widely recognized as lacking in seriousness.

He concluded by expressing that while he should not say it, the truth remains that Rahul Gandhi, despite holding the position of leader of the opposition, does not act in accordance with the responsibilities that come with it.
