Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma Criticizes Congress Over Gas Shortage Issue

Jaipur, March 19: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has launched a sharp attack on the Congress party regarding the gas shortage issue. He questioned whether this problem is being unnecessarily politicized.

The Chief Minister expressed his surprise that Congress limits the discussion on this issue to mere politics. He asked whether the gas problem exists only in Rajasthan or across the entire country, and if Rajasthan is responsible for creating this issue.

He stated that the state government has taken immediate steps to alleviate public distress. A meeting was convened on the same day the issue arose, with clear instructions given to officials to ensure there are no disruptions in gas supply.

Expressing confidence in the central government, he assured that the situation is under control. Previously, the state maintained a five-day gas stock, which has now been increased to eight days, with plans for further extension.

Targeting the opposition, he accused Congress leaders of tarnishing the country’s image. He noted that whether domestically or internationally, some Congress members attempt to undermine India’s reputation. He added that the opposition becomes uncomfortable when he speaks the truth.

These remarks were made by the Chief Minister during the ‘Entrepreneur Dialogue’ event held at the Rajasthan International Centre. He criticized the previous government for lacking a clear policy, misleading youth, and causing entrepreneurs difficulties, along with corruption in funds received from the center. He also mentioned that internal disputes weakened governance.

Bhajanlal Sharma reiterated his commitment to providing uninterrupted electricity. He emphasized that electricity and water are crucial for development, with the government’s goal of supplying 24-hour electricity to farmers and industries by 2027.

He informed that financial assistance is being provided to young entrepreneurs through various schemes, including the Chief Minister’s Youth Self-Employment Scheme. He criticized the opposition, stating that implementing policies requires hard work and dedication, not just sitting idle.

The Chief Minister also mentioned that strict action is being taken against wrongdoers. He revealed that several cases have been registered, and around 450 individuals involved in crimes affecting youth have been imprisoned.

He announced that an agreement (MoU) has been signed with Japanese investors to manufacture electric vehicles in Rajasthan. Addressing entrepreneurs, he noted that they are not only expanding their businesses but also strengthening Rajasthan’s economy. He referenced Rajasthan Day, which commemorates the state’s formation on March 30, 1949, from the unification of princely states, now celebrated on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada.
