New Delhi, March 19: The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for residents ahead of the farmers’ meeting scheduled at Ramlila Maidan on March 19, 2026.
Organized by the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (non-political), this meeting will take place from 6 AM to 4 PM. Due to the expected large crowd, several road restrictions and diversions will be in effect around Ramlila Maidan.
According to the traffic police, diversions and restrictions will be implemented on JLN Marg as necessary. Vehicles coming from Ajmeri Gate towards Ramlila Maidan via Asaf Ali Road will not be permitted. These vehicles can use JLN Marg for their onward journey.
Heavy vehicles and buses approaching from the west and north via R/A Jhandewalan, heading towards Ajmeri Gate and beyond, will be diverted to Rani Jhansi Road at Rani Jhansi Chowk and Panchkuian Road. Those heading to New Delhi Railway Station from Ajmeri Gate should take Rani Jhansi Road, Panchkuian Road, Connaught Place, Minto Road, and the NDLS route.
Visitors can park their private vehicles at Mata Sundari College parking. Buses will drop passengers at Delhi Gate, with parking designated at Rajghat or Power House. No buses will be allowed to enter JLN Marg beyond Delhi Gate.
The traffic police have clearly stated that no vehicles will be allowed to park on JLN Marg, Asaf Ali Road, Minto Road, DDU Marg, or Chaman Lal Marg (both carriageways) on the specified date. Illegally parked vehicles will be towed, and strict action will be taken according to the law.
The traffic police urge the public to use alternative routes, leave early, and adhere to traffic rules during this time. Police and traffic personnel will be deployed on-site to manage traffic smoothly. Cooperation from Delhi residents is expected to ensure the meeting proceeds peacefully without any inconvenience.
