New Delhi, May 20: Arvind Kejriwal, the National Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, along with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has announced free bus travel for students taking the NEET exam. In a joint video message, they informed that from June 20 to June 22, students can travel for free on Punjab Roadways buses, provided they present their admit cards.
Kejriwal shared a video, addressing students with a warm greeting. He stated that based on student feedback, the Punjab government decided to offer complimentary bus services for all NEET candidates during these three days.
Wishing the students luck for their exams, Kejriwal reassured them that there is no need to feel stressed. He encouraged them to work hard and maintain their determination, emphasizing that everyone can become a doctor if they persevere.
Meanwhile, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann took to social media platform X to highlight the financial struggles faced by many underprivileged students. He noted that some students lack the fare to reach their exam centers. After a recent conversation with Kejriwal, where students expressed their need for assistance, the Punjab government decided to waive bus fares for all NEET candidates on June 20, 21, and 22. Students only need to show their admit cards to travel without any charges.
It is important to note that Kejriwal had previously urged NEET candidates not to take drastic steps in light of reports of stress and depression following the cancellation of the medical entrance exam.
Kejriwal encouraged students to share their feelings and suggestions through comments or direct messages, assuring them that “we are with you.”
