
Sagar, Madhya Pradesh: On Monday night, a tragic accident occurred near the village of Rurawan on the Sagar-Kanpur National Highway, where two speeding motorcycles collided head-on. Four young men riding on the two bikes died on the spot, while one youth was seriously injured.
Upon receiving information about the accident, police from Chhanbila police station and SDOP Pradeep Valmiki reached the scene promptly. The police conducted the formalities and sent the bodies for postmortem at Banda Hospital. The injured youth was admitted to the hospital for immediate treatment.
According to the initial police investigation, one bike was travelling from Banda towards Shahgarh, and the other was heading from Shahgarh to Banda. The two bikes collided near Rurawan village with great force, leaving both vehicles severely damaged. The impact caused the deaths of four riders on the spot and left one seriously wounded.
Local residents present at the scene alerted the police, who then took the injured to the hospital for medical care. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem, and further investigation into the accident has begun.
Station In-charge Kamalkishore Maurya identified three of the deceased as Gaurav (22), son of Ram Swaroop from Rurawan; Anand (23), son of Ratiram Ahirwar; and Golu Bansal (17), both residents of Khatora village. The identity of the injured and the fourth deceased is still being confirmed. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
