Guna, May 11: Madhya Pradesh Minister Govind Singh Rajput announced that Sunday marked a significant day for the people of Guna. The district received a substantial industrial boost worth approximately ₹1,000 crores, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
May 10 proved to be historic for Guna district, as it welcomed over ₹1,000 crores in industrial investment, paving the way for new development and employment opportunities in the region.
Minister Rajput informed the media that this was a landmark day for Guna. He highlighted the presence of industrialist Gautam Adani at the event, who approved the project. Rajput stated that this initiative would create direct and indirect employment for around 1,500 individuals, ensuring local youth do not have to seek jobs elsewhere.
On Sunday, the foundation stone was laid for an Ambuja Cement factory by the Adani Group in the Mawan area of Guna, with an investment of approximately ₹1,059 crores. The government believes this plant will initiate an industrial revolution in the Gwalior-Chambal region, accelerating the local economy.
During the event, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also inaugurated and performed the ground-breaking ceremony for 144 other development projects worth ₹130 crores. These projects include essential infrastructure such as roads, sub-health centers, and schools.
Minister Rajput reassured farmers that those whose land would be acquired for the factory would receive fourfold compensation. He emphasized that this is the first time farmers in India would receive such a high compensation rate. He affirmed that the Madhya Pradesh government is committed to the welfare of farmers, ensuring no farmer in the state remains unhappy.
Additionally, Minister Rajput highlighted the government’s achievements in wheat procurement. He stated that the state initially received a quota of 7.8 million metric tons from the central government, which has now increased to 10 million metric tons due to the efforts of the Chief Minister and the state government. He assured that the government is procuring sufficient wheat and that farmers will not face any difficulties.
