Farah Khan Shares Her Experience on Gold Diet Introduced by Suzanne Khan

Mumbai, May 23: Renowned film producer Sanjay Khan’s daughter and well-known Indian interior designer Suzanne Khan may stay away from the limelight, but she has a special circle of friends in the industry. Among them is her close bond with choreographer Farah Khan. Recently, Farah revealed that Suzanne has put her on a ‘Gold Diet.’

Farah shared this information through an Instagram post on Saturday. In her stories section, she uploaded a video from an airport lounge, stating that she couldn’t eat anything because Suzanne had her on the ‘Gold Diet.’

In her video, Farah wrote, “Suzanne Khan has put me on a ‘Gold Diet.'”

Not long ago, Suzanne posted a picture showcasing her jewelry, stating, “We haven’t left gold behind… we’ve just shed the heaviness associated with it. Hence, here is ‘The Gold Diet,’ designed with the modern Indian woman’s needs in mind.”

Farah Khan is a prominent name in the film industry. While she has gained recognition among the youth through her YouTube channel, she is also a celebrated filmmaker and choreographer. She began her career in dance to support her family after her father’s film flopped, leading them into debt. They even had to sell her mother’s jewelry and household items. Eventually, due to financial struggles, Farah joined a dance group and started working as a background dancer in films.

In 1992, she got her big break in choreography after Saroj Khan dropped out of a project for the song “Pehla Nasha” from the film ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar,’ marking a significant turning point in her career.

Since then, she has choreographed over 100 films, including classics like ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge,’ ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,’ ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham,’ and ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho.’ Farah has received a National Award and seven Filmfare Awards. She has also served as a judge on several dance reality shows.

After establishing herself in choreography, Farah ventured into directing. Her first directed film, ‘Main Hoon Na,’ was released in 2004. She followed it up with blockbuster hits like ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2007) and ‘Happy New Year’ (2014). Notably, she was the first woman to be nominated for ‘Best Director’ at the Filmfare Awards.
