Thalapathy Vijays Last Film Jan Nayakan Released After Becoming Chief Minister

Mumbai, July 23: The much-anticipated film ‘Jan Nayakan’ featuring South cinema superstar and Chief Minister Thalapathy Vijay is set to release today in nearly 1,000 theaters across the state. This film is reportedly Vijay’s last, generating significant excitement among fans and leading to a surge in advance bookings.

Ahead of the release, a special screening was held on Wednesday at the Tagore Center in Adyar, Chennai. Attendees included Vijay’s family, industry colleagues, and several senior officials from the state government, such as Chief Secretary Sai Kumar, the Chief Minister’s private secretary Senthil Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) Siddique, and producer Venkat Narayan.

Originally scheduled for a January release, the film’s debut was postponed due to delays in obtaining certification from the Central Board of Film Certification. Unfortunately, parts of the film were leaked online before its release, which was a significant setback for the entire team.

Despite this, the fervor among fans remains undeterred. As soon as bookings opened, many shows quickly sold out, indicating that the film is likely to perform well at the box office.

However, reports have surfaced on social media alleging that some theaters are engaging in ticket black marketing. Some users have also claimed that very few tickets were made available on online booking platforms.

The atmosphere in Tamil Nadu is festive in anticipation of the film’s release. Special events are being organized in theaters across Tier-2 cities, including playing Vijay’s popular songs via DJs before the first shows.

With ‘Jan Nayakan,’ Thalapathy Vijay will become the second Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to achieve this milestone, following in the footsteps of M.G. Ramachandran (M.G.R.).
