Prasar Bharati’s announcement includes four vacancies for Correspondents and one for a Senior Correspondent. These positions are aimed at recruiting qualified candidates in various regions, including Imphal, Lucknow, Varanasi, and Dehradun for the Correspondent roles, and Chennai for the Senior Correspondent position.
The online application process commenced on June 25, and the deadline for submission is set for 15 days from the date of the advertisement’s publication. Candidates interested in these positions are advised to submit their registration forms on Prasar Bharati’s official website within the specified timeframe.
Applicants for the Correspondent position must hold a degree or PG diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field from a recognized institution. Proficiency in Hindi and English, as well as the relevant regional language for Imphal, is mandatory. For Lucknow, Varanasi, and Dehradun, knowledge of Hindi and English is essential. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience in the relevant field.
For the Senior Correspondent role, candidates must possess a degree or PG diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field from a recognized institution, along with proficiency in Hindi, English, and the relevant regional language. A minimum of seven years of experience in the relevant field is also required.
The maximum age limit for the Correspondent position is set at 39 years, while for the Senior Correspondent role, it is 44 years, calculated as of June 25.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on application shortlisting, tests, interviews, and document verification. The monthly salary for the Correspondent position ranges from ₹60,000 to ₹80,000, while the Senior Correspondent position offers a salary between ₹80,000 and ₹1,25,000.
