The National Health Mission (NHM) has urged the promotion of the HPV vaccine to fight cervical cancer. Dr. Manoj Kumar Shukla, General Manager of the regular vaccination program in Uttar Pradesh, stated that this vaccine provides lifelong protection against this dangerous disease for young girls.
He remarked, “After eradicating smallpox and polio, we are now prepared to combat cervical cancer.” Under the Prime Minister’s guidance, the HPV vaccine has been included in the regular vaccination program. He urged parents to ensure their 14-year-old daughters receive this vaccine.
According to health experts, the vaccine plays a crucial role in preventing the risk of cervical cancer. It is an effective step towards safeguarding the health of young girls. They confirmed that the vaccine is readily available throughout Uttar Pradesh.
Now, the question arises: how can one get this vaccine? Experts advise contacting the nearest ASHA worker, ANM sister, or health center to arrange HPV vaccination for their 14-year-old daughters. Delaying this could be dangerous, as it serves as a protective shield for the girls.
