Guwahati, September 13 (Daily Kiran) : The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) in Guwahati is offering a significant opportunity for those seeking employment in the educational sector. An official notification has been released, announcing vacancies for 33 teaching faculty positions on a contract basis at its medical college and hospital.
The available positions include six for Professors, thirteen for Associate Professors, and fourteen for Assistant Professors. The departments hiring for these roles consist of Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopedics, and Anesthesia, with one position in each for Professors. For Associate Professors, the departments include Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Anesthesia, Radiodiagnosis, and Medical Oncology. Assistant Professors will be hired in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, General Medicine, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Anesthesia, and Statistics, with additional positions in Radiodiagnosis, Accident and Emergency, and ICU.
Candidates will be selected based on a walk-in interview and document verification. The salaries offered are competitive, with Professors earning ₹67,700, Associate Professors ₹78,800, and Assistant Professors ₹1,18,500 per month, along with other benefits.
Applicants must meet the educational qualifications, skills, and experience as per NSC guidelines. The maximum age limit for candidates is set at 69 years.
The walk-in interviews are scheduled for September 15, starting at 10 AM at the Dean’s Office, ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Beltola, Guwahati-781022. Candidates are expected to report between 9 AM and 9:30 AM. Those attending the interview should bring a hard copy of their completed application form along with original and photocopied documents.
