Pune, October 10 (Daily Kiran) : In a significant update for job seekers, the Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited (MECIL) has announced an extension for applications for Executive Trainee positions. Initially set to close on August 14, the deadline has now been pushed to October 23, 2026.
MECIL is hiring for a total of 13 Executive Trainee roles under the UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2024, specifically in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. The vacancies include one position for Executive Trainee (Electrical), five for Executive Trainee (Mechanical) in the Procurement and Contracts Department, two in the Stores and Disposal Department, and five in the Drilling Department.
Candidates who have not yet submitted their applications are advised to visit MECIL’s official website to complete their registration before the new deadline. To qualify for these roles, applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution, with a minimum of 60% marks.
The upper age limit for applicants is set at 28 years, calculated as of August 1, 2026. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government regulations.
Selection will be based on scores from the UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2024, which includes written exams, interviews, document verification, and medical fitness assessments. Successful candidates can expect a monthly salary ranging from ₹40,000 to ₹1,40,000, along with additional benefits.
While applying, candidates must pay an application fee of ₹500 for General, OBC, and EWS categories. However, SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen and departmental candidates are exempt from this fee.
