Esha Singh Shares Candid Thoughts on Bold OTT Content

Mumbai, July 18: Television actress Esha Singh recently appeared in the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ Season 18, where she finished as a finalist, securing an impressive sixth place. In a recent interview, she discussed the impact of OTT platforms and reality shows.

Esha highlighted that shows like ‘Allyance’ and ‘Lock-Up’ reveal people’s true natures. She noted that when individuals use harsh language, it reflects their reality, as many people communicate in such a manner in real life.

Having participated in ‘Bigg Boss’ Season 18, Esha was asked about the bold content emerging from shows like ‘Lock-Up’ and ‘Allyance.’ She explained that since these shows are streamed on OTT platforms, they have more freedom regarding scenes and language.

Esha stated, “When our audience watches these shows, they comment on the use of vulgar language. I believe people talk like this in real life; the only difference is that OTT shows portray it openly, while ‘Bigg Boss’ is edited for television.”

She further mentioned that television has stricter restrictions compared to OTT, allowing creators to depict characters more authentically. “Look, no one is a saint. Everyone talks like this. People are completely different in real life compared to what they show on screen. I think it’s fine; people enjoy watching it. They are tuning into ‘Lock-Up’ and ‘Bigg Boss.’ I believe it should be appreciated,” she added.

Currently, Esha Singh is playing the lead role of Juhi Suri in the new Colors TV show ‘Juhi Mui.’ The series tells the inspiring story of a talented girl struggling with autism, who becomes her family’s lawyer to protect their property.
