
Mumbai, July 18: Bollywood actor Salman Khan visited the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) office in Mumbai on Friday night. During his visit, he inaugurated the modern Data Collection and Verification Support Center (IT Server Room) of the SRA.
This state-of-the-art facility aims to enhance digital governance, making it more effective, secure, and transparent. It is expected to strengthen the SRA’s e-governance initiatives.
Salman Khan also handed over keys to the beneficiaries of the slum rehabilitation scheme, visibly brightening their faces with joy. In the presence of SRA’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mahendra Kalyankar, he distributed keys to over 50 beneficiaries for their new homes.
On this occasion, Salman Khan also launched the SRA coffee table book. This publication details the SRA’s operations, successful rehabilitation stories, various development projects, and the organization’s key achievements. It is considered an essential document for citizens, stakeholders, and individuals from various sectors to understand the SRA’s work.
Khan’s visit reflects the Maharashtra government’s commitment to strengthening the slum rehabilitation mission through modern technology, transparent systems, and citizen-centered administration. He was also briefed on various SRA schemes and initiatives, which seemed to satisfy him.
Salman Khan has long been involved in social service, contributing to health, education, child welfare, and assistance for those in need.
Currently, he is preparing for the release of his upcoming film ‘Matrubhumi: Me War Rest in Peace.’ Additionally, several other projects are in the pipeline, with official announcements expected in the coming months.
