Noida, October 12 (Daily Kiran) : The Gautam Buddh Nagar police launched the Mission Shakti 6.0 campaign in Noida, aimed at enhancing awareness about women’s safety, rights, and empowerment. On October 12, approximately 500 girls participated in a vibrant rally organized under the direction of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh.
Starting from the Government Girls Inter College in Hoshiyarpur, Sector 51, the event sought to promote equal opportunities and respect for women within the community. The rally was led by Deputy Commissioner of Police for Women’s Safety, Suniti, and involved coordination from various police officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Manisha Singh and the Inspector in charge of Sector 49 police station.
Representatives from multiple departments, along with ASHA workers, home guards, ANMs, teachers, and sanitation workers, actively contributed to the event. They provided crucial information regarding safety measures, legal rights, health, hygiene, and government welfare schemes aimed at empowering girls and women.
The police teams involved in the march, including the Mission Shakti team and Anti-Romeo squad, educated participants about women’s safety helpline numbers and available support services. They encouraged women and girls to reach out to the police if they faced any threats or harassment.
Held during the auspicious occasion of Sharadiya Navratri, this awareness initiative aimed to bolster the sense of security among women and girls, enhance their self-confidence, and make them aware of their rights. The event also called on the community to adopt a sensitive approach towards women and prioritize their dignity.
The police emphasized that ensuring women’s safety is a collective responsibility that extends beyond law enforcement. Through such awareness programs, they aim to inform women and girls about their rights while fostering a more responsible and sensitive society.
The Gautam Buddh Nagar police continue to organize community awareness initiatives under the Mission Shakti campaign, striving to create a safer environment for women and girls and promoting a positive attitude towards women’s empowerment.
