Special Voter Registration Camps in Uttar Pradesh on October 17 and 24

Lucknow, October 13 (Daily Kiran) : The Uttar Pradesh government is launching a special initiative to register eligible voters who have not yet been included in the electoral rolls. On October 17 and 24, 2026, dedicated camps will be set up at polling stations across the state to facilitate this process.

Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will be available from 10 AM to 4 PM at these camps. Citizens can fill out Form-6 to apply for inclusion in the voter list. This campaign is being organized under the directives of the Election Commission of India, as stated by Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinha.

Rinha emphasized that sufficient Form-6 applications will be provided at the camps. Applicants will need to present recent photographs along with documents verifying their date of birth and address. Help desks will be established at each polling station to assist citizens in completing their forms and the registration process.

District election officials have been instructed to promote these camps widely. Efforts will include outreach through print, electronic, and social media channels. Information regarding the camp dates will also be shared with recognized political parties and social organizations.

All applications received during this initiative will be systematically recorded for future reference. Photos and videos from the camps will be uploaded to the websites and official social media accounts of district election officials.

To ensure a smooth process, district and sub-district election officers will supervise the camps. Election registration officers will also visit polling centers, and other relevant officials will inspect the arrangements. Rinha has urged officials to conduct regular reviews and maintain effective coordination to avoid any lapses.

He encouraged eligible citizens to visit their polling stations on October 17 and 24 to check their names on the voter list. If their names are not included and they meet the eligibility criteria, they should fill out Form-6 to apply for registration. Rinha stressed that participation in the democratic process is crucial, and every eligible citizen should ensure their registration in the voter list.
