Election Supervisors Meet in Bidhannagar to Review Preparations for Fair Voting

Kolkata, March 21: A crucial meeting of election supervisors took place on Saturday at the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate in West Bengal. Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and local police officials participated in this significant gathering.

The primary objective of the meeting was to review preparations for conducting the upcoming assembly elections in a completely free, fair, and peaceful manner.

Discussions focused on electoral security strategies. Plans for deploying forces in various areas, effective area domination, identifying and mapping sensitive locations, and enhancing coordination between CAPF and Bidhannagar police were emphasized.

Supervisors made it clear that all directives from the Election Commission of India must be strictly followed. They instructed officials to ensure that any form of illegal activity, violence, or coercion would not be tolerated. Additionally, they urged vigilance in addressing complaints promptly and fully implementing the model code of conduct.

Senior officials from the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate briefed supervisors on the preparations made thus far. They highlighted that all necessary steps are being taken to maintain law and order, instill confidence among voters, and ensure a smooth electoral process. Measures such as blockades, patrolling, regional visits, and other security protocols are continuously being reinforced.
