Drone Mail Service Launched in Himachal Pradesh, Central Minister Expresses Delight

New Delhi, June 13: A drone-based mail and parcel service has been launched on the Mandi-Reharadhar route in Himachal Pradesh. This initiative by the postal department is revolutionizing delivery in remote areas, completing tasks that previously took hours in just minutes. The local community is celebrating this development.

Central Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia expressed his happiness on the social media platform X, announcing the launch of this drone service by the Indian postal department.

He noted that journeys through difficult terrains, which once took hours, can now be completed in just 7 minutes with real-time tracking. This environmentally friendly initiative was developed based on feedback from rural postal workers and assistants during multiple discussions.

Scindia emphasized that inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, technology is being utilized to strengthen postal services, connecting even the most remote areas of India to the rapidly changing opportunities and services of the nation.

Earlier, Minister Scindia expressed his sorrow over the AN-32 cargo plane accident at the Rowriah Airbase in Jorhat, Assam. He stated that the news of five brave air warriors losing their lives in the incident is extremely tragic and unfortunate. He paid tribute to these heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the motherland, praying that their souls find peace and that their grieving families are granted strength to bear this immense loss. The nation will always be indebted to their supreme sacrifice.
