Murshidabad, August 30: West Bengal‘s Rural Development Minister, Dilip Ghosh, took a morning walk in Raghunathganj today. During his visit, he interacted with party workers and local residents at Sadarghat and Netaji Subhas Island. Speaking to the media about Nepal, Ghosh emphasized India’s readiness to extend help. He also commented on the arrest warrants issued against Mamata and Abhishek Banerjee, discussing issues related to panchayat development and past corruption.
Regarding the arrest warrants for TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee and former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Ghosh stated, “No one is above the law in Bengal. Action is being taken against those who disrespect the law or the court. If they choose to block roads and hold meetings instead of complying with court orders, legal action will follow. Everyone must ensure that no one violates the law.”
On the involvement of TMC supporters in the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme survey team, Ghosh remarked, “The locals who have been assigned this task are overseeing it. We are monitoring to ensure that no TMC workers are involved. Previously, everyone in this area was a TMC member. We are keeping a close watch to ensure that no TMC workers are associated with this work.”
Commenting on the floods in Nepal and India’s assistance, Ghosh said, “The tragedy in Nepal is a significant blow to humanity. The entire world is concerned about it. As a neighboring country, India wishes to help. It is commendable that Nepal wants to resolve its issues independently; we also desire for Nepal to stand strong as a nation. However, as a neighbor, we will always stand by them in times of crisis.”
