Somnath, May 9: The Somnath Temple, located in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat, is revered as the first of the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. This site is not merely a temple; it stands as a significant center of faith and belief, attracting millions of devotees from across the country each year. On the occasion of Amrit Parv, around 1,100 pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh arrived via a special train to seek blessings from Mahadev. The atmosphere was filled with chants of “Har Har Mahadev.”
Special arrangements were made by the Somnath Trust for the devotees. Each pilgrim received a “Laghu Mrityunjaya Havan Kit” along with prasad. This kit included a havan kund made from cow dung, fragrant incense, and a bottle of holy water. Many pilgrims praised this unique and commendable initiative.
Several devotees expressed that such arrangements made their journey even more special. The temple administration and local authorities received widespread acclaim for their excellent management of darshan, security, and accommodation. Pilgrims noted that experiencing the darshan in such an organized and peaceful manner was a memorable experience.
