Launched at Indira Gandhi International Airport, one of the busiest transport hubs in the country, the Uber Airport Share service will provide affordable, convenient, and seamless ride-sharing options through the Uber app.
Chief Minister Gupta stated that the Delhi government is committed to building a clean, green, and smart capital through innovative and sustainable transport solutions.
She further noted that the launch of the ride-sharing service is a significant step towards reducing traffic congestion, lowering vehicle emissions, and encouraging citizens to adopt shared and eco-friendly transportation methods. This initiative reflects our vision of creating a modern, technology-driven, and passenger-friendly transport system for Delhi.
Additionally, in the presence of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the Delhi government’s Environment Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Airawat Research Foundation of the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
