
New Delhi, June 16: Delhi University (DU) has officially announced the recruitment of 20 Assistant Professors (on a guest basis) for the academic session 2026-27 at its prestigious Delhi School of Journalism (DSJ). The university is inviting applications for both academic and language categories.
Among the 20 vacancies, 16 positions are available in Journalism and Mass Communication, while 4 are in language categories (Hindi, Sanskrit, and English).
The application process began on June 15 and will remain open until July 5. Interested and eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official portals of Delhi University (DU) or the Delhi School of Journalism (DSJ). They should click on the notification link for the respective posts and submit their registration forms before the deadline.
Candidates applying for the guest faculty positions must meet the qualifications set by UGC for regular Assistant Professors in colleges. The Academic Performance Indicator (API) score for shortlisting candidates will also align with the criteria established by Delhi University. If the required number of candidates is not met, concessions may be granted concerning the API score.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on shortlisting and interviews, with salaries aligned to UGC regulations. Interviews will be conducted exclusively in an online format.
The schedule for interviews and the list of shortlisted candidates will be published on the DSJ and DU websites. Candidates are advised to regularly check these sites for updates.
