
New Delhi, March 15: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced plans to develop an autonomous and empowered institution in Delhi, modeled after AIIMS, by integrating the city’s major government medical facilities.
In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, CM Gupta stated that prominent institutions such as Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTB), Delhi State Cancer Institute (DSCI), and Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital (RGSSH) will be unified to create a robust healthcare facility.
This initiative aims to provide millions of patients in Delhi and surrounding areas with better, modern, and specialized medical services at a single location. The quality of treatment is expected to improve, services will be more streamlined, and high-quality healthcare will become more accessible to the general public.
CM Gupta emphasized that this step is a significant move towards establishing a strong and reliable healthcare system in Delhi.
In a separate post on ‘X’, CM Gupta also highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan, noting its valor, folk music, handicrafts, and festivals as a vibrant chapter in Indian culture. She remarked that festivals like Gangaur keep this cultural wealth alive for generations and express the beauty of local traditions.
She acknowledged that Delhi, as a melting pot of diverse cultures, holds a special place for Rajasthan’s rich heritage. The hardworking and culturally proud people of Rajasthan have also enriched Delhi’s social and cultural life. She extended warm wishes for Rajasthan Day and the Gangaur festival during an event held in Chhatarpur, attended by notable figures including MP Ramveer Singh Bidhuri and MLA Kartar Singh Tanwar.
