
New Delhi, April 19: The Delhi Police’s Anti-Jail Bail and Fugitive Cell has apprehended a declared fugitive involved in a theft case. The accused, identified as Captain, was charged on May 28, 2025. He was declared a fugitive by the Chief Judicial Magistrate of the Dwarka Court.
The team utilized both technical and manual intelligence. On April 16, while stationed in Najafgarh, they received a tip-off about a fugitive named Captain, who was evading trial in a case registered at the Najafgarh police station. The court had already declared him a fugitive.
Acting on this information, the team set up a trap in Arya Nagar and successfully arrested him.
Under the directives of the DCP of Dwarka District, a special operation against declared fugitives is currently underway. A dedicated team has been formed under the Anti-PO, Jail Bail, and Fugitive Cell of Dwarka. Their mission is to apprehend or locate declared fugitives, active criminals, and those released from jail.
Just a day earlier, on April 18, police resolved a fake robbery case within six hours. The incident was reported by a person named Abhishek, who claimed he was robbed at gunpoint. Following his PCR call, a case was registered at the North Rohini police station. During the investigation, aided by technical surveillance and human intelligence, the North Rohini staff detained two individuals.
