New Delhi, September 27 (Daily Kiran) : Delhi’s Public Works Department Minister, Pravesh Verma, has released a new video addressing the ongoing dispute over road construction in Tilak Nagar. In his remarks, he launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), alleging that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has unleashed goons who extort money from government employees.
Verma, who recently made headlines for slapping an AAP worker, claimed that the reality of Kejriwal’s goons is now coming to light. In the video, he referred to a three-month-old incident involving an AAP worker who had previously faced an FIR for similar misconduct.
He alleged that this worker had demanded money from a minor employee of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). When the payment was refused, he reportedly assaulted the employee severely. According to Verma, the employee subsequently filed a police report, leading to the arrest of the AAP worker and a nephew of MLA Jarnail Singh.
Verma further asserted that the individual who disrupted their gathering is not a resident of Delhi, but uses a Dubai mobile number. He accused this person of collecting money from Delhi’s employees on behalf of AAP.
As Kejriwal is set to visit the same road tomorrow, Verma questioned whether the Chief Minister should support those who physically assault MCD workers. He expressed outrage, stating that Kejriwal should feel ashamed for backing individuals who engage in such violent extortion.
He concluded by reiterating that Kejriwal’s goons are active in Delhi, intimidating government employees and facing police action, only to be defended by the Chief Minister afterward.
