Delhi Chief Minister Welcomes Kanwariyas in Mayapuri, Reviews Arrangements

New Delhi, August 10: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta welcomed Kanwariyas with a shower of flower petals at a camp in Mayapuri, West Delhi, on Sunday.

In a message on the social media platform ‘X’, CM Rekha Gupta stated, “We welcomed the divine Kanwariyas with a rain of flowers at the Mayapuri Kanwar Seva Camp and had the privilege of distributing prasad.”

After reviewing the arrangements made for the pilgrims at the camp, she expressed, “May Baba Bholenath bless all Kanwariyas on their journey and fulfill their wishes.”

She also mentioned on ‘X’, “Present on this occasion were MLA Anil Sharma, Umang Bajaj, former MP Ramesh Bidhuri, and a large number of Shiva devotees.”

The Chief Minister had visited a Kanwar Seva camp at Apsara Border on Saturday, where she welcomed the Kanwariyas. She previously stated that extensive arrangements had been made for the smooth movement and accommodation of devotees in the national capital.

CM Rekha Gupta noted, “Several Kanwar camps have been set up, and thousands of Kanwariyas are arriving in Delhi. The city is welcoming all Shiva devotees carrying Kanwars. We have made all necessary arrangements.”

She added that the Delhi government is providing financial assistance to the camps and ensuring proper sanitation and traffic management during the pilgrimage.

“We are also providing financial support, maintaining cleanliness, and managing traffic. The Delhi Traffic Police is overseeing these arrangements to ensure that Kanwariyas face no inconvenience,” she stated.

Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra also highlighted the government’s efforts to facilitate the pilgrimage.

He remarked, “Recently, at the Delhi-UP border, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta warmly welcomed Kanwariyas and Shiva devotees. The Delhi government has made all necessary preparations to welcome them, provide essential facilities, and make their journey comfortable. The Chief Minister and the entire government have worked with full commitment to ensure these arrangements.”
