New Delhi, September 28 (Daily Kiran) : NITI Aayog has officially launched ‘Special Campaign 6.0’ after successfully addressing more than 4,100 public grievances under the previous initiative, ‘Special Campaign 5.0.’ The announcement was made on September 28, 2026, with the aim of reducing pending cases, enhancing administrative efficiency, and promoting cleanliness and better workplace management in government offices.
This new campaign is a continuation of the efforts made by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) during the earlier campaign, which ran from November 2025 to August 2026. The primary focus was on the swift resolution of pending cases across various ministries and departments, alongside fostering a culture of clean office environments.
According to government statements, NITI Aayog is collaborating with its partner organizations, including the Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office (DMEO), Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), and the National Institute of Labour Economics Research and Development (NILERD), for this campaign.
During the previous campaign, NITI Aayog resolved 4,105 public grievances, 127 references from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), 34 public grievance appeals, and five parliamentary assurances. The initiative aims to expedite the resolution processes for public complaints, parliamentary matters, and other pending references.
The campaign also placed a strong emphasis on record management and optimizing office space. By eliminating old records and unnecessary files, approximately 90 square feet of office space was freed up. Additionally, the sale of scrap material generated about ₹197,000 in revenue.
DARPG initiated this special campaign in 2021 to enhance accountability, administrative efficiency, and cleanliness in government offices. Since then, it has been conducted annually.
Building on the success of Special Campaign 5.0, NITI Aayog is now preparing for Special Campaign 6.0. The government plans to prioritize the resolution of pending references from MPs, proposals from state governments, inter-ministerial references, parliamentary assurances, PMO references, public grievances, and complaint appeals.
Moreover, the ongoing process of eliminating unnecessary and irrelevant files and documents will continue. The government has indicated that this phase will focus on overall office cleanliness, space management, and improving the work experience for employees in field offices.
