New Delhi, October 10 (Daily Kiran) : In response to anticipated protests in New Delhi, the Delhi Airport has issued a travel advisory urging passengers to plan their journeys in advance. The advisory comes ahead of a planned demonstration by the “Cockroach People’s Party” (CJP), which is set to occur without official permission.
The airport’s statement emphasized the need for travelers to account for increased security measures and potential traffic restrictions. “Passengers are advised to plan their travel accordingly and allow extra time for getting to and from the airport,” the statement read.
Travelers are encouraged to consider various transportation options, including cabs and city buses. The advisory highlights the airport’s commitment to ensuring a safe and pleasant travel experience for all.
This advisory follows announcements from the Delhi police regarding traffic diversions due to the CJP’s planned protest. Authorities have advised that those traveling to key locations such as railway stations, ISBT, or the airport should prepare for delays.
Delhi traffic police have also recommended that individuals avoid unnecessary travel during this time. They noted that traffic management measures would be adjusted based on real-time conditions.
Passengers can stay informed about live updates, alternative routes, and ongoing traffic alerts by visiting the Delhi Traffic Police’s official website and social media platforms.
Additionally, the Delhi police have imposed internet restrictions in certain areas of central Delhi, including the Janpath-Kartavya Path region. Furthermore, 45 metro stations will be closed from 9 PM on Friday until Saturday evening.
